Addisons Chartered Surveyors is now run by Simon Nixon MRICS, FAAV, FNAEA; a Chartered Surveyor possessing a wide range of knowledge and experience, and is involved in all of the core areas of the firm's expertise and heads the Barnard Castle office. Richard Duffus MRICS, MRAC; also a Chartered Surveyor with over 20 years professional experience heads the Richmond office.

Addisons has a large and diverse  spread of expertise that covers all matters of estate agency, environmental scheme applications, bank and professional valuations, planning applications, tax advice, alternative energy schemes, agricultural work and farm, commercial and property valuations Traditionally, the firm has maintained a strong presence in live and dead stock auctioneering, in addition to furniture sales which have provided a constant stream of service to the select antiques dealers and experts located in Barnard Castle and the north of England.

As Chartered Surveyors, we abide by the standards set and guidelines of professional conduct issued by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

We are also members of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers, the National Association of Estate Agents, as well as being a member firm of the Property Ombudsman Scheme.
