We are an independent firm of Chartered Surveyors, Auctioneers, Land and Estate Agents serving Teesdale, Durham, North Yorkshire and Teesside. The firm's roots commenced well over 100 years ago in Barnard Castle, County Durham.

Addisons Chartered Surveyors is now run by Simon Nixon, MRICS, FAAV, FNAEA and Chris Arundel, BSc(Hons), MRICS, FNAEA. both are Chartered Surveyors possessing a wide range of knowledge and experience, and they are involved in all of the core areas of the firm's expertise.

Addisons has a large and diverse range of expertise in both the residential and agricultural property markets, land agency and agriculture. Traditionally, the firm has maintained a strong presence in live and dead stock auctioneering, in addition to furniture sales which have provided a constant stream of service to the select antiques dealers and experts located in Barnard Castle and the north of England.

As Chartered Surveyors, we abide by the standards set and guidelines of professional conduct issued by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

We are also members of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers, the National Association of Estate Agents, as well as being a member firm of the Property Ombudsman Scheme.
