Addisons has in-house knowledge of relevant legislation including the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 and 1987, The Rent Act 1977 and the Housing Act 1988. Residential Agreements consist of an Assured Shorthold Tenancy (AST) for an initial period of 6 months.

Utilities

Unless otherwise specified it will be the tenant’s responsibility to register for electricity, water, gas and council tax. Where possible we will provide the details of existing suppliers.

We will carry out full credit and employment referencing before offering properties to prospective tenants, this is done on a first come first serve basis.

The Landlord is required to give at least two months’ notice ending of the last day of the period of the tenancy and in accordance with the statutory rules prescribed by Section 21 of the Housing Act
