The staff of Addisons threw away their measuring tapes and plans arming themselves instead with hammers and drills to help build fifty new homes for some very special inhabitants of Upper Teesdale. And all in an afternoon! Who were these lucky new residents?
In conjunction with the North Pennines AONB partnership Addisons have sponsored the erection of fifty bird boxes at Bowlees Visitor Centre ready for this year’s nesting season.
Addisons partner, Richard Duffus said:
“ADDISONS are pleased to support the “Bird Box” initiative as we fully support the aims of the organisation and encourage the people of Teesdale to make the most of this fantastic visitor centre. We also recognise the importance of providing suitable homes for the area’s population, including our feathered friends!”
“The synergy between ADDISONS and The AONB Partnership is demonstrated by our shared belief in the region, its communities and people, and in the recognition of the diversity and richness of its qualities and of what the area has to offer, both to the resident population and visitors alike, in terms of valued experiences and quality of life.”
